Day 106

Movie: Ides of March
Starring: Ryan Gosling, George Clooney
Genre: Drama
Year: 2011
Format: Shaw Video On Demand

Plot While working on a political campaign, a young campaign manager learns that his candidate has been having an affair with an intern.

For a political drama this was edgy.  It was fairly easy to keep up with even for those of us who know nothing about politics.

The casting of Paul Giamatti as the questionable manager for the other campaign was a brilliant move, even with limited screen time  Giamatti owns this movie. And he plays like a compliment with the character of Ryan Gosling. I would love to see these two paired up more in the future.

What do I think I learned from this film?
Even when you think you have it all figured out, you never really do. And you can never truly trust those in power even when you are on top of the world.
