plot: Two broken heated women trade homes for the holidays and each find love, one with the brother of the lady's house she is staying at, the other with a co-worker of the woman's house she's staying at.
I found this to be a bit dry. The film feels longer then it is, given it's basically two stories running parallel to each other
Neither story is really all that interesting. The Jude Law/Cameron Diaz story is fairly obvious. Two uber beautiful people fall in love at first sight. He at first seems like a cad but ends up being a total softy.
The Jack Black/Kate Winslet story is a bit sweeter. It's the sort of relationship you would expect. Two people who start as friends ending up together.
It's a very typical romantic movie, with all the characters finding their romantic equal and the guts to go after them.
what do I think I learned from this film?
Jude Law looks fabulous in glasses.
