The Nosferatu Adventures Season 2 part 19

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 49, chapter 49

The auburn wolf stretched out on his belly on the edge of the lake, waiting. Licking the blood from his muzzle, he felt like there was something stuck between his fangs. Rolling over, he bit at the low branch that was tempting him, a single leaf hanging from it.  His ears twitched as he heard movement, causing him to investigate. Springing to his feet, he ran down the length of the lake, till a scent filled his nose.
A woman emerged from the other side of the lake, a strange coppery glow to her skin that reminded him of scales. A small whimper escaped the wolf as he backed away behind a tree hoping not to be seen.  He felt an uneasy chill run over his limbs as his ears flattened, as the Seer stood waiting for the woman near a small over turned tree. Every instinct told him to stop the other werewolf from doing whatever it was he was about to do. But he just couldn't bring himself to.
He watched for a few moments as the Seer talked to the woman, her coppery skin shimmering with the reflection of the lake, her movements as fluid as the water itself. The wolf shook his head as if not believing what was happening. The Seer leaned in, running his hand down her arm, the colour of her skin fading as he did, before grabbing her for a kiss.  His other hand firmly at the back of her skull not letting the kiss break as the woman was trapped. She tried pushing him away, but with his free hand, he grabbed her arm twisting it behind her back. Within seconds, the woman was lifeless, all the breath stolen from her, and the Seer was standing now over her corpse.
Touching his fingers to his lips, the Seer checked for what he thought was blood, having tasted something cold. He squinted as he then blew a kiss in the direction of the dead woman before dragging her body back to the lake. Turning he burped as he ran back to the spot he had agreed to meet Dagan.

The auburn wolf howled as he ran back to the other side of the lake, transforming. "What the hell was that?" he asked stalking towards the Seer.

"I told you I needed to hunt. I still have to seduce, to feed the sidhe side, more since becoming a werewolf." he answered calmly.

"Seduce. Keyword here. That was reckless and stupid. Mermaids are poisonous to werewolves!" Dagan screamed as he got in his face, snarling then growling.

"Didn't know you cared." the Seer said sarcastically.

"I don't! But you're Reuben's bloodline and right now, we're a team." he pointed between them.

"Really?"

"Yeah." Dagan nodded, his eyes wide. "I don't care for you." he shrugged his feet apart, hands at his belt in a stance, letting the other werewolf know that any second he could strike. "But that doesn't change the fact you're Reuben's bloodline, and that makes you my responsibility from a pack perspective."

"Good to know. And for the record, that wasn't a mermaid, that was a sea sprite."

"What the hell is the difference?"

"Mermaids have tails, sprites have legs." he said in a condescending tone. The Seer stumbled backwards bringing his hand up to his face. The punch had been so quick he hadn't been prepared for it. Dagan growled again as he took another few steps towards him, spitting on the ground beside him.

"Let's get back. Well still need to find that stupid... before nightfall." he turned walking towards the castle.

tune in again for another installment of the Nosferatu Adventures starring your heroine...me (another straight up story piece. I would totally let the Seer steal my breath away with a kiss)
