plot: A drug dealer who sells memories, is given a copy of a high profile murder. He then has to find out who the supplier/killer is.
I'd seen this film 18 years ago when it first came out. I had forgotten how good it was. To see the way the world has turned since this movie first came out, it was almost as if it were a foreshadowing.
This was done in the decade of cyber-punk-backlash. The idea that the not so distant future is the mess we are creating now, and not some uber streamlined clean Jetson's view that we were given in the 1950/60's. I think that's why movies done in this genre are so appealing. It's us on an exam table.
What did I learn from this? Everyone has a weakness, it's how you deal with it, if you give in to it that makes you who you are.
