The Nosferatu Adventures S5 p19

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 150, chapter 150

Rolf sat in the bar, hunched over a drink, his hair falling around his shoulders threatening to land in his glass. Something wasn't right here. He didn't remember arriving at this place, never remembered leaving the soul library back at Valhalla, didn't even remember leaving the kingdom.  Hell, he didn't even remember changing his clothes.  Sniffing, the werewolf picked at the shoulder of the short sleeved shirt, screwing up his nose. It smelled funny, not like the way clothes smelled when magic misted. This smelled like sweat and cotton and something else, he just couldn't put his finger on it.

"From the guy at the table in the back corner."  the bartender said placing a large pink fruity drink down in front of him. Rolf's eyebrows knitted together in confusion as he first looked at the bartender thinking he looked familiar, then turned to see who had the audacity to send him something like that.

The dark haired man waved as he sat in the corner with two sleazy looking women in outfits that seemed to be four sizes too small. Sighing, Rolf finished his original drink and got up from his seat, slowly walking over to the man.

"Loki, what's going on?" he didn't bother to hide the distaste in his voice.  Loki dismissed the two women, gesturing to the booth for Rolf to sit.

"Thought you might like to try something new." he burped.

"Not the drink, this." he waved around the room. "What's going on? How'd I get here?"

The dark haired god cleared his throat, leaning over, crossing his arms on the table. "Yeah, we've got a little snag in your...case." he smiled making a noise with his teeth.

"What do you mean?" he flicked his hair out of his face, throwing one arm over the back of the booth.

"Nosferatu. Bit of an unforeseen issue. She's absorbed your soul. That's bad for you, great for me, because she's more adaptable to carrying a shapeshifter baby, but...There's no getting your soul back. And because of that..." he shrugged. "There's no back up plan. You need to up the juice on what you and Dagan and Reuben are doing. The job of being a Fate; it's a little more involved then what you three have been just doing."

Rolf made a duckbill with his lips, nodding. "Okay. We'll do what needs to be done."

"One more thing... and it's not going to be easy." the dark haired god gave a small giggle as he laughed at a private joke.

"Name it." Rolf hissed through now clinched teeth. He was getting more annoyed by the minute.

Loki swirled the glass of wine in front of him, watching the small water ring on the table grow. "Harker."

"What about Harker?" the large male asked licking his lips.

"He's about to die. And when he does, I want you to handle it."

Rolf's eyes flashed the amber-grey of the wolf before becoming slits as a bolt of anger filled him. "Why would you ask me to deal with his death? Why not let Dagan do it, he's his brother. And how is he going to die?"

"Cause Dagan can't know about it ahead of time. He won't be able to handle it. He'll want revenge, but you can't let him do that either. Trust me on this. I can't tell you much else." he winked at him. "But now you understand why I brought you here to this place."

"Not really."

"You're suppose to be the more intuitive one. Just sit back, relax, have a few more drinks on me, and wait. When it happens, you'll feel it. I've given you an alteration so that you'll be able to radar in on Harker's soul, that way you don't have to go back to the library with this knowledge before it's done. I don't want risking you telling the others ahead of time. They've got their hands full at the moment dealing with the black out."

"Yeah what exactly happened there?" the werewolf asked suddenly wondering if this place served food.

"Mini apocalypse. Happens every year about this time, usually in areas that have hellmouths, total gates of hell type stuff. Don't worry about it." The god smirked at him and shimmered away, leaving the werewolf stunned.

Thursday July 24th

I'm sitting here thinking, and my mind wandered around to the Nosferatu Adventures.  To those of you who are following it; I put this question... Who's your favourite character so far?

You think about it, let me know, and when I come back in a few days, I'll...well I'll just be back, to the blog and stuff. Maybe with drawings and stuff...maybe.

So, yeah just a short post real quick.

Coffee talk July 20th 2014

I know in the darkened locker room there are a few wrestlers getting ready for tonight's ppv, wondering where the usual "night of the pay per view werewolf story blog post" is?  Sorry boys, I didn't get a chance to write one today.

And there are a few of you my dear readers, who are wondering when the hell is this woman going to start talking about the movies again?    Soon. Netflix Canada just got some spiffy new movies I haven't seen yet and a few I haven't seen in years. Not too mention, there are a few movies that I want to see that we actually got here at my local cinema.  The choices locally has been slim to zero on the interest scale.

So, on that note... if you're a wrestler reading me tonight about to be part of Battleground; win! Whatever it takes.

page 149, chapter 149

"Ugh!" Dagan stuck his tongue out making a face. "I got it in my mouth." he brushed his hand at his tongue rapidly but it was no use.

"I told you not to stand too close to the midwife." Rolf said laughing at his buddy. "Should have listened to me." he shook his head grabbing an apple off the table crunching into it.

"I've been slimmed." the auburn haired male said as he let the magic mist dissolve his shirt. Stalking towards the filing cabinet, he grabbed the large file tossing it on the table. "I'm so tired of all this..."

"Death?" Reuben commented as he walked out of the bathroom slicking his hair back in his trademark too smooth to be human ponytail.

"Actually I was going to say birth." Dagan closed his eyes tilting his head to the side, hands now linked behind his neck. "Death I can handle. Maiming, blood, guts, goopy stuff coming out of all ends as they take their last breath, but this..." he flicked his leg, tossing a sticky wet knee at his friend. "...this is just down right gross. And the screaming! I thought that pain in our ass mate of mine was loud. I think that last woman actually punctured my ear drum. Eighteen hours of labor. No wonder no one is ever ready to die, it's the fact they are about to be reborn that scares the crap out of them."

Reuben tossed another file onto the table, sitting down twirling a pen. "Lest you've had the human births to deal with. I've been stuck with the ever so joyful job of demoting souls when they transfer from one life to the other. And what sucks is knowing in the case file ahead of time that someone is going to be coming back as a frog or worm; and not being able to tell them." he scratched at his jaw then, letting out a deep breath.

Rolf tossed the apple core away, leaning on the kitchen sink. "I know I haven't told you two much how much I really appreciate you doing this." the werewolf sniffed as he pushed his hair out of his face. "This was my mess and you two didn't have to do any of this."

Reuben nodded as he tossed his arms over the back of the chair, rocking on the back legs of it. "I can't say I'm happy about it but we're still family." he opened the file filling in his notes on the soul's transition.   The larger male grunted as he started to pour himself a cup of coffee. Just then all three of the males sat up just a little straighter as the air bristled around them.  Suddenly, the large image of the life tree with all it's millions of tiny soul lights, began to flicker rapidly and went out. The werewolves found themselves in complete darkness.

"Oh that's not good." Dagan's voice mumbled in the darkness. As if on cue, a red light bulb started to spin as a siren blasted out an alarm. "Really really not good."

Tune in again for another installment of the Nosferatu Adventures starring your heroine...me (straight up story.  I was totally thinking of that scene in Ghostbusters about an hour ago, and just wanted a reason to have Dagan get slimmed)

If I was your Jukebox

Sunday afternoon, avoiding doing anything that involves lifting boxes or cleaning, and remember last fall when I did that post about wrestlers being vampire movies? (If I was your Vampire) Well, I was thinking about theme songs and how sometimes they just don't add up.
So, grab a coffee and join me now for another pointless game and waste a few minutes as I pick new theme songs for a handful of wrestlers.

(No wrestlers were harmed or intentionally insulted in the making of this post)

1) Roman Reigns- Unholy by Kiss

2) Seth Rollins-  Only  by Anthrax

3) Dean Ambrose- Swatting at Flies by Flotsam and Jetsam

4) Tyler Breeze- Helena by Misfits

5) Corey Graves- Perfect Skin by the 69 Eyes

6) Brad Maddox- Tainted Love  the Marylin Manson version

Bonus- The Shield : I Still Believe  by Tim Cappello from Lost Boys soundtrack.  Anyone who's ever listened to this song knows why I picked it. Not just the title, but the whole thing could easily describe their storyline.

Okay, so the song Helena by Misfits, is one of those that begs to ask the question if I showed you my true nature would you still be able to adore me? To me, that is the perfect description of the character Breeze brings to the table.

Perfect Skin by 69 Eyes, well there is the obvious, the tattoos! But, this is a great character. He can balance that edge of villain or hero with ease.  Just that touch of vampiric grace.

Unholy by Kiss, I picked this one because it's from the point of view of the anti-hero, someone who becomes the hero because he doesn't have a choice. And can't you just picture Reigns with all that hair like some Conan the Destroyer type coming down those stairs to the vocals of Gene Simmons?

Only by Anthrax, you've got a song about a character who feels they have been taken for granted and in order to have a self again they need to flee. Almost making an excuse to escape but not completely. And once again, just a jamming time.

Swatting at Flies by Flotsam and Jetsam, this one was my first pick after the group song. You have a character who has had to survive a hard existence, and who gets stabbed in the back along the way. Very much fits the Ambrose storyline.

Tainted Love...I picked because well, I really like the song specially this version. But, the Maddox character had been misused. I don't think he was ever given the credit he deserved when he was on the shows. Such a miss. They need to bring him back. Maybe give his character a bit of a dark streak.

Okay that's my list for today. Can you tell that I'm an old heavy metal fan?

till later.

The Nosferatu Adventures S5 p17

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 148, chapter 148

Our heroine slammed her own foot down hard on top of his, her elbow crashing first into his neck then his nose. Grabbing a hold of his left wrist, she gave a half turn, still standing on his foot. Growling, the female spun out from the guard, ripping his arm off in the process, black oily blood covering her. Tossing the severed limb she sliced her glass like nails twice across his throat, severing his head from his body. The zombie guard flopped to the ground, the black oily blood everywhere soaking the grass.

She moved a few feet back trying to catch her breath, her hands covered in the substance. Shaking them, she turned towards the left and back to the lake to clean up.   The vampire held her hand out without saying a word as she past The Seer, keeping him from talking as she continued on into the water.
Her clothes dissolving as she did, the magic mist rising around her like steam.  The Seer began to pace from side to side as he waited impatiently at the edge of the lake. Our heroine was angry with him for once again being the reason the guard had found them.

For the past week, they'd managed to avoid trouble, but The Seer had made the mistake of  feeding out in the open. He'd been spotted and now they were being hunted once again. This was the fourth guard Nosferatu had slaughtered in as many hours.
All she wanted now was some peace and quiet, to be alone for a few hours. Only she never really seemed to be anymore. Rolf was in her head. The visions and dreams, a constant reminder that she was helping her friend stay alive.  She saw flashes of what the werewolf was doing, of what he was thinking, feeling.

She ducked under the water, letting it sweep over her in a cool blanket. Droplets gleamed on the surface as she rose back to break it, the sun setting quickly and adding layers of colour to the water's reflection. At lest she knew that Dagan and Reuben were alright. Having the flashes of Rolf's point of view let her know that they were safe.  Content that the zombie goo was completely cleaned off, our heroine climbed out to the edge of the lake, the magic mist once again wrapping around her, leaving a simple pair of grey pajama bottoms and a grey t-shirt in it's wake. A perfect replica of what The Seer was wearing.

Walking up to him, she said nothing. Resting her chin on his shoulder, her hands finding their way across his ribcage to the underside of his elbows, as she slid her pale delicate fingers down his forearms entwining them with his.

The witch Kendra, had told The Seer more about his past life with Nosferatu. A fact that the sidhe seemed to want to keep from the rest of the pack.

Letting out a deep sigh that turned into a semi-growl, the female nodded in the direction of their camp and started to head back. She was in no mood to play nurse maid to the male's ego. She had other things to worry about. Like how she could get through one night without having to take two cold showers whenever Rolf accidently exposed her to flashes of  him having a personal moment. The sound of the birds overhead lulled her, letting her mind drift for the briefest second. Stopping she looked up at the seagulls as they swirled and dipped overhead and blushed. Something deep in her gut told her that the second time it happened, wasn't any accident.

Top 5 Fav Canadian Wrestlers

Well, I missed Canada Day, this past July 1st (last Tuesday) and normally I try to do some sort of something for that on here. So, even though I'm like a week late, here's a Top Five...

1.  Vampiro

2.  Eric Young

3. Robert Roode

4. Kenny Omega

5. Tyler Breeze

Well, Vampiro is cool for many reasons. One being that he's got that whole vampire gimmick which, seems more natural then you would think. And the tattoos... seriously, is there a more perfect Canadian wrestler then him?  Okay so I'm a fang-girl, and dude, this is Thunder Bay after all...

Eric Young...One of the few wrestlers who embody the best of Canada, with a wicked sense of humour to boot. I rarely dig guys with beards, but Eric Young knows how to rock the lumberjack look while tossing an arm bar on you and still manage to keep you smiling. Well, you know all us Canadians are just a little crazy enough...love that t-shirt!

Robert Roode... How can you not dig Roode?  Here is a wrestler who doesn't need to be a face or a heel, he just knows how to wrestle. Good guy, bad guy, everyone still loves him. It's wrestlers like Roode that has helped to make tag teams mean something again.

Kenny Omega... One of my favourite indie wrestlers. Every time I have had a chance to see him live I've made sure to have ring side seats. I remember one of the first times I did see him live, he was pulling twists and flips that seemed to defy possibility.

Tyler Breeze...Yeah he's more then pretty, he's Canadian. I love that! (if you're reading the never ending soap opera on here, I based my Necromancer on him) This is someone fans need to really keep an eye on. He's climbing fast...not as fast as I thought, but fast.

So that's my top five for tonight...
