The Nosferatu Adventures S5 p17

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 148, chapter 148

Our heroine slammed her own foot down hard on top of his, her elbow crashing first into his neck then his nose. Grabbing a hold of his left wrist, she gave a half turn, still standing on his foot. Growling, the female spun out from the guard, ripping his arm off in the process, black oily blood covering her. Tossing the severed limb she sliced her glass like nails twice across his throat, severing his head from his body. The zombie guard flopped to the ground, the black oily blood everywhere soaking the grass.

She moved a few feet back trying to catch her breath, her hands covered in the substance. Shaking them, she turned towards the left and back to the lake to clean up.   The vampire held her hand out without saying a word as she past The Seer, keeping him from talking as she continued on into the water.
Her clothes dissolving as she did, the magic mist rising around her like steam.  The Seer began to pace from side to side as he waited impatiently at the edge of the lake. Our heroine was angry with him for once again being the reason the guard had found them.

For the past week, they'd managed to avoid trouble, but The Seer had made the mistake of  feeding out in the open. He'd been spotted and now they were being hunted once again. This was the fourth guard Nosferatu had slaughtered in as many hours.
All she wanted now was some peace and quiet, to be alone for a few hours. Only she never really seemed to be anymore. Rolf was in her head. The visions and dreams, a constant reminder that she was helping her friend stay alive.  She saw flashes of what the werewolf was doing, of what he was thinking, feeling.

She ducked under the water, letting it sweep over her in a cool blanket. Droplets gleamed on the surface as she rose back to break it, the sun setting quickly and adding layers of colour to the water's reflection. At lest she knew that Dagan and Reuben were alright. Having the flashes of Rolf's point of view let her know that they were safe.  Content that the zombie goo was completely cleaned off, our heroine climbed out to the edge of the lake, the magic mist once again wrapping around her, leaving a simple pair of grey pajama bottoms and a grey t-shirt in it's wake. A perfect replica of what The Seer was wearing.

Walking up to him, she said nothing. Resting her chin on his shoulder, her hands finding their way across his ribcage to the underside of his elbows, as she slid her pale delicate fingers down his forearms entwining them with his.

The witch Kendra, had told The Seer more about his past life with Nosferatu. A fact that the sidhe seemed to want to keep from the rest of the pack.

Letting out a deep sigh that turned into a semi-growl, the female nodded in the direction of their camp and started to head back. She was in no mood to play nurse maid to the male's ego. She had other things to worry about. Like how she could get through one night without having to take two cold showers whenever Rolf accidently exposed her to flashes of  him having a personal moment. The sound of the birds overhead lulled her, letting her mind drift for the briefest second. Stopping she looked up at the seagulls as they swirled and dipped overhead and blushed. Something deep in her gut told her that the second time it happened, wasn't any accident.

Tune in again for another installment of the Nosferatu Adventures, starring your heroine...me (straight up story. Well, we touched on the topic last installment thought I'd expand on it)
